January 30, 2016: Holmdel, NJ 07733 Fans at Saturday's non-league challenge between the Holmdel Hornets (Holmdel, NJ) and the visiting Middletown South Eagles (Middletown, NJ), saw Holmdel's basketball squad overcome Middletown South by a tally of 66-46.
With the victory, Holmdel improves its record to 8-6 on the campaign. The Hornets host Rumson-Fair Haven (Rumson, NJ) to confront the Bulldogs in a Shore A - Central challenge on Tuesday, February 2. The Bulldogs come into the challenge with a record of 13-3. Rumson-Fair Haven won 58-49 in their recent non-league challenge against Red Bank Regional (Little Silver, NJ)
Next up, the Eagles confront the Freehold Boro Colonials (Freehold, NJ) in a Shore A - North challenge, on Tuesday, February 2. Middletown South will attempt to improve on its 1-14 season record. The Colonials come into the challenge with a 4-12 record after their 61-47 non-league loss to Wall Township (Wall, NJ).
