In Wednesday's non-league match, the host MacArthur Cardinals basketball team scored a good 70-50 triumph over the West Mesquite Wranglers.

In their next game, the Cardinals confront the Duncanville Panthers (Duncanville, TX) in a 5A Region I District 7 match, on Saturday, January 2. MacArthur will attempt to better on its 20-0 season record.
