New Jersey High School Basketball - Christ the King tipped by St. Mary
December 29, 2018: Newark, NJ 07104 The St. Mary Gaels basketball team scored 56 points and held the host Christ the King Knights to 51 in the Gaels non-league triumph on Saturday.
The Gaels now sport a 4-1 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Wayne Hills for a non-league contest on Sunday, December 30. St. Mary will meet a Patriots team coming off a 63-33 non-league win over Indian Hills (Oakland, NJ). The Patriots record now stands at 5-0.
The Knights (2-2) will now prepare for their contest against West Essex (North Caldwell, NJ). The Knights enter the non-league contest with a 1-3 record. In their last contest, West Essex was nudged by Cedar Grove (Cedar Grove, NJ), 37-30, in a non-league contest.
