The Basha Bears basketball team scored 54 points and held the host Mesquite Wildcats to 47 in the Bears league triumph on Wednesday.

The Bears now sport a 4-4 record. They put it on the line next when they host Chavez for a non-league contest on Friday, December 16. Basha will meet a Champions team coming off a 54-46 non-league loss to Fairfax (Laveen, AZ). The Champions record now stands at 3-5.

The Wildcats (5-6) will now prepare for their contest against Dobson (Mesa, AZ). The Mustangs enter the I Section II contest with a 9-5 record. In their last contest, Dobson was nudged by Highland (Gilbert, AZ), 55-47, in a league contest.
