January 18, 2019: Pendleton, IN 46064 The University Trailblazers basketball team (Carmel, IN), was nudged 64-58 in Friday's non-league battle with the host Pendleton Heights Arabians (Pendleton, IN)
The Arabians now possess a 5-10 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Greenfield-Central for a Hoosier Heritage battle on Friday, January 25.
The Trailblazers (13-3) will now prepare for their battle against Anderson Prep Academy (Anderson, IN). The come into the Pioneer battle with a 4-9 record.
First Quarter
A cold start by the Arabians and some great 3 point shooting by the Trailblazers put PHHS in a hole that many teams could not get out of. They hit 4 of 6 treys while the Arabians missed all three of their attempts. Davrick Black led the Arabians in first quarter scoring with 5 points. Tristen Ross contributed 2 and Christian Conkling scored 1.
Second Quarter
The second quarter was better for the Arabians, but the Trailblazers outscored them again by 5. Christian Jones scored 5 points while Kamden Early scored 4, Tristan Ross scored 4 and Damieo Warrum scored 2. Ryan Noel contributed 1 point.
Third Quarter
The third quarter saw the Arabians come out of the locker room with a great set of adjustments. Scoring 25 points is a quarter is dynamic. Tristen Ross couldn't be stopped as he scored 12 points in the quarter. Davrick Black and Damieon Warrum each scored 5 and Christian Jones scored 3. The Arabian defense also held the Trailblazers to only 12 total points.
Fourth Quarter
The Arabian offense continued to score and their defense tightened even more to seal the game for the Arabians. Five different Arabians finished the game with double digit points. Tristen Ross led the group with 16 total points. He was followed by Davrick Black and Christian Jones with 13. Kamden Early and Damieon Warrum each scored 10. Rounding out the scoring is Christian Conkling and Ryan Noel each scoring 1 point.
