Kentucky High School Basketball - Whitley County overwhelmed by Perry County Central
January 10, 2012: Hazard, KY 41701 The Whitley County Colonels basketball team (Williamsburg, KY), was overwhelmed 87-37 in Tuesday's non-league battle with the host Perry County Central Commodores (Hazard, KY)
The Commodores now possess a 12-4 record. They play next when they travel to Breathitt County for a non-league battle on Saturday, January 14.
The Colonels (2-15) will now prepare for their battle against Corbin (Corbin, KY). The Redhounds come into the District 50 battle with a 8-6 record. In their last battle, Corbin triumphed over Middlesboro (Middlesboro, KY), 79-51, in a non-league battle.

Sr. Jaysean Paige and 8th grader Braxton Beverly juiced up the offense by connecting on 3 3's each.
Second Quarter
Sr. Jaysean Paige led the Commodore offense at the half with 18 points.
Fourth Quarter
Sr. Jaysean Paige finished the game with 27 points, while 8th grader Braxton Beverly had 15 points.
