Fans at Tuesday's league challenge between the Melvindale Cardinals (Melvindale, MI) and the host Trenton Trojans (Trenton, MI), saw Melvindale's basketball squad hold off Trenton by a tally of 75-69.

With the victory, Melvindale improves its record to 8-2 on the campaign. The Cardinals travel to Woodhaven (Brownstown, MI) to confront the Warriors in a Downriver challenge on Friday, January 27. The Warriors come into the challenge with a record of 7-3. Woodhaven won 70-60 in their recent league challenge against Kennedy (Taylor, MI)

Next up, the Trojans confront the Lincoln Park Railsplitters (Lincoln Park, MI) in a Downriver challenge, on Friday, January 27. Trenton will attempt to improve on its 5-4 season record.
