California High School Volleyball - Newport Harbor routed by Mira Costa
March 26, 2010: Newport Beach, CA 92663 The Mira Costa Mustangs volleyball team scored 3 points and limited the host Newport Harbor Sailors to 0 in the Mustangs non-league victory on Friday.
The Mustangs now possess a 10-1 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Redondo for a Bay game on Thursday, April 8. Mira Costa will meet a Sea Hawks team coming off a 3-2 league loss to Palos Verdes (Palos Verdes Estates, CA). The Sea Hawks record now stands at 7-3.
The Sailors (5-2) will now prepare for their game against Fountain Valley (Fountain Valley, CA). The Barons enter the Sunset challenge with a 3-8 record. In their last challenge, Fountain Valley was dropped by Tesoro (Rancho Santa Margarita, CA), 3-0, in a non-league challenge.
