Kansas High School Basketball - South crushes Central

December 19, 2008: Salina, KS 67401

South Cougars (Salina, KS) supporters were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad trounce the visiting Central Mustangs (Salina, KS), 52-27 in a league challenge.

With the victory, South improves its record to 4-1 on the campaign. The Cougars travel to Highland Park (Topeka, KS) to battle the Scots in a non-league challenge on Saturday, December 20. The Scots come into the challenge with a record of 4-1. Highland Park won 59-26 in their recent league challenge against West (Topeka, KS)

Next up, the Mustangs battle the Hays Indians (Hays, KS) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, January 6. Central will attempt to improve on its 1-3 season record. The Indians come into the challenge with a 4-1 record after their 60-39 non-league win over Goodland (Goodland, KS).
