The Laurel Golden Tornadoes (Laurel, MS) basketball nipped the visiting Harrison Central Red Rebels (Gulfport, MS), 62-58 in Saturday's non-league test.

The Golden Tornadoes (17-5) will now prepare for their test against West Jones (Laurel, MS). The Mustangs go into the 5A Region 5 test with a 5-9 record. In their last test, West Jones was tipped by Stringer (Stringer, MS), 79-49, in a non-league test.
