Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake Spartans (Burnt Hills, NY) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad nip the visiting Columbia Blue Devils (East Greenbush, NY), 48-45 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake upgrades its record to 1-3 on the season. The Spartans travel to Colonie Central (Albany, NY) to encounter the Raiders in a non-league bout on Tuesday, January 5. The Raiders go into the bout with a record of 3-1. Colonie Central won 45-41 in their recent non-league bout against Niskayuna (Niskayuna, NY)

Next up, the Blue Devils encounter the Shaker Bison (Latham, NY) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, January 5. Columbia will attempt to upgrade on its 3-3 season record. The Bison go into the bout with a 5-1 record after their 62-54 non-league win over Guilderland (Guilderland Center, NY).
