In Monday's non-league match, the visiting Annawan Braves basketball team scored a good 69-56 triumph over the Newark Norsemen.

In their next game, the Braves meet the Mercer County Golden Eagles (Aledo, IL) in a Lincoln Trail match, on Tuesday, February 7. Annawan will attempt to move on its 24-2 season record. The Golden Eagles enter the match with a 14-11 record after their 51-42 non-league loss to Annawan (Annawan, IL).

With the defeat, Newark moves to 20-4 on the year. The Norsemen travel to Waldorf (Chicago, IL) to meet the Thunder in a non-league match on Saturday, February 11.
