The Shamokin Area Indians basketball team scored 61 points and held the host Danville Ironmen to 45 in the Indians non-league triumph on Tuesday.

The Indians now sport a 3-0 record. They put it on the line next when they host Selinsgrove for a Heartland I contest on Saturday, December 12. Shamokin Area will battle a Seals team coming off a 56-51 non-league loss to Western Wayne (Lake Ariel, PA). The Seals record now stands at 0-2.

The Ironmen (0-1) will now prepare for their contest against Mount Carmel (Mount Carmel, PA). The RED TORNADOES enter the Heartland II contest with a 0-2 record. In their last contest, Mount Carmel was defeated by Hughesville (Hughesville, PA), 67-35, in a league contest.
