California High School Baseball - Bishop Montgomery loses to El Segundo
April 27, 2013: El Segundo, CA 90245 In Saturday's non-league game, the host El Segundo Eagles baseball team scored a tight 11-6 victory over the Bishop Montgomery Knights.
The Eagles (15-11) will now prepare for their game against North (Torrance, CA). The Saxons go into the Pioneer game with a 16-8 record. In their last game, North was overwhelmed by Lakewood (Lakewood, CA), 12-4, in a non-league game.
The Knights (4-16) will now prepare for their game against La Salle (Pasadena, CA). The Lancers go into the Del Rey game with a 9-13 record. In their last game, La Salle was overwhelmed by Bishop Amat (La Puente, CA), 2-1, in a league game.
Game Summary
El Segundo beat Bishop Montgomery 11-6 in the Redondo Tournament. The Eagles were led by Lars Nootbar who went 3-3 with a double, scored a run and had 5 rbi's. Connor Underwood and Hunter Lewis each had 2 hits. Jake Gafford got the win with 3 solid innings of relief and Lewis gets the save with 3 scoreless innings in his Varsity debut on the mound.
