Hammond Skyhawks (Columbia, SC) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host Ben Lippen Falcons (Columbia, SC), 59-58 in a league bout.

With the win, Hammond upgrades its record to 13-4 on the season. The Skyhawks travel to Gray Collegiate Academy (West Columbia, SC) to clash with the in a non-league bout on Saturday, January 17. The go into the bout with a record of 10-7. Gray Collegiate Academy won 85-37 in their recent non-league bout against Williston-Elko (Williston, SC)

Next up, the Falcons clash with the Cardinal Newman Cardinals (Columbia, SC) in a SCISA AAA Region I bout, on Tuesday, January 27. Ben Lippen will attempt to upgrade on its 5-5 season record.
