The Velma Jackson Falcons topped the host Murrah Mustangs basketball team by a final score of 72-62 in Tuesday's non-league game.

Next, the Falcons clash with the Leake Central Gators (Carthage, MS) in a non-league test, on Thursday, November 10. Velma Jackson will attempt to advance on its 2-0 season record. The Gators go into the test with a 1-0 record after their 77-63 non-league win over Kosciusko (Kosciusko, MS).
