Georgia High School Basketball - Toombs County overwhelmed by Johnson
January 9, 2015: Savannah, GA 31404 The Johnson Atomsmashers basketball team scored 73 points and restricted the visiting Toombs County Bulldogs to 21 in the Atomsmashers non-league victory on Friday.
The Atomsmashers now sport a 13-3 record. They put it on the line next when they host Islands for a AAA Region 1B contest on Tuesday, January 13. Johnson will battle a Sharks team coming off a 48-44 league loss to Tattnall County (Reidsville, GA). The Sharks record now stands at 6-11.
The Bulldogs (4-11) will now prepare for their contest against Appling County (Baxley, GA). The Pirates come into the AAA Region 1A contest with a 6-10 record. In their last contest, Appling County triumphed over Long County (Ludowici, GA), 61-55, in a non-league contest.
