Dobson Mustangs (Mesa, AZ) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad nip the host Gilbert Tigers (Gilbert, AZ), 51-49 in a league bout.

With the win, Dobson upgrades its record to 13-8 on the season. The Mustangs host Central (Phoenix, AZ) to encounter the Bobcats in a non-league bout on Friday, January 28. The Bobcats go into the bout with a record of 14-6. Central won 56-37 in their recent league bout against Camelback (Phoenix, AZ)

Next up, the Tigers encounter the Mesquite Wildcats (Gilbert, AZ) in a 5A Central bout, on Tuesday, February 1. Gilbert will attempt to upgrade on its 7-12 season record. The Wildcats go into the bout with a 9-11 record after their 51-49 league loss to Mountain View (Mesa, AZ).
