Fans at Saturday's non-league challenge between the Shannon Red Raiders (Shannon, MS) and the visiting DeSoto Central Jaguars (Southaven, MS), saw Shannon's basketball squad hold off DeSoto Central by a tally of 64-63.

With the victory, Shannon improves its record to 1-0 on the campaign. The Red Raiders travel to Aberdeen (Aberdeen, MS) to play the Bulldogs in a non-league challenge on Friday, November 22. The Bulldogs come into the challenge with a record of 0-1.

Next up, the Jaguars play the Corinth Warriors (Corinth, MS) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, November 12. DeSoto Central will attempt to improve on its 0-1 season record.
