In Tuesday's league battle, the visiting Gilbert Tigers volleyball team scored a 3-1 triumph over the Corona del Sol Aztecs.

The Tigers (13-2) will now prepare for their battle against Mesquite (Gilbert, AZ). The Wildcats come into the 5A Central battle with a 5-8 record. In their last battle, Mesquite achieved victory over Mountain View (Mesa, AZ), 3-2, in a league battle.

Next, the Aztecs clash with the Desert Vista Thunder (Phoenix, AZ) in a non-league battle, on Thursday, September 24. Corona del Sol will attempt to advance on its 13-7 season record. The Thunder come into the battle with a 21-1 record after their 2-0 non-league win over Clovis West (Fresno, CA).
