In Friday's league match, the host Weed Cougars basketball team scored a good 56-46 triumph over the Trinity Wolves.

In their next game, the Cougars confront the Etna Lions (Etna, CA) in a Shasta Cascade match, on Tuesday, January 15. Weed will attempt to move on its 13-2 season record. The Lions enter the match with a 3-8 record after their 68-42 league loss to Modoc (Alturas, CA).
