Michigan High School Basketball - Ithaca topples Freeland
February 6, 2009: Ithaca, MI 48847 In Friday's non-league outing, the Ithaca Yellowjackets (Ithaca, MI) basketball squad beat the visiting Freeland Falcons (Freeland, MI), by a margin of 66-57.
The Yellowjackets (8-5) will now prepare for their outing against St. Charles (St. Charles, MI). The Bulldogs go into the Tri-Valley - West outing with a 6-4 record. In their last outing, St. Charles was topped by Frankenmuth (Frankenmuth, MI), 63-58, in a non-league outing.
The Falcons now own a 4-6 record. They take the field next when they travel to Alma for a Tri-Valley - Central outing on Tuesday, February 10. Freeland will encounter a Panthers squad coming off a 46-42 league loss to Ovid-Elsie (Elsie, MI). The Panthers record now stands at 4-6.
