Michigan High School Basketball - Adams topped by Athens
February 13, 2018: Athens, MI 49011 The Athens Indians basketball team scored 69 points and restricted the visiting Adams Highlanders to 60 in the Indians non-league victory on Tuesday.
The Indians now sport a 12-3 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to St. Philip Catholic Central for a Southern Central contest on Friday, February 16. Athens will battle a Fighting Tigers team coming off a 53-36 league loss to Bellevue (Bellevue, MI). The Fighting Tigers record now stands at 7-10.
The Highlanders (10-7) will now prepare for their contest against Athens (Troy, MI). The Red Hawks come into the Oakland - White contest with a 11-3 record. In their last contest, Athens was defeated by Oak Park (Oak Park, MI), 76-51, in a league contest.
