Massachusetts High School Basketball - North Reading edges Charlestown
February 8, 2017: North Reading, MA 01864 The North Reading Hornets (North Reading, MA) basketball nipped the visiting Charlestown Townies (Charlestown, MA), 63-56 in Wednesday's non-league test.
The Hornets (9-9) will now prepare for their test against Lynnfield (Lynnfield, MA). The Pioneers go into the non-league test with a 1-14 record. In their last test, Lynnfield was tipped by Mystic Valley Regional (Malden, MA), 50-45, in a non-league test.
The Townies now own a 3-10 record. They play next when they host Burke for a Boston City - South test on Friday, February 10. Charlestown will encounter a Bulldogs squad coming off a 37-33 league loss to Brighton (Brighton, MA). The Bulldogs record now stands at 7-5.
