Louisiana High School Basketball - St. Edward tipped by St. Augustine
December 28, 2011: New Orleans, LA 70119 The St. Augustine Purple Knights basketball team scored 52 points and held the visiting St. Edward Eagles to 46 in the Purple Knights non-league triumph on Wednesday.
The Purple Knights now sport a 17-1 record. They put it on the line next when they host Soldan International Studies for a non-league contest on Friday, January 6. St. Augustine will confront a Tigers team coming off a 69-36 non-league win over Ritenour (Overland, MO). The Tigers record now stands at 6-1.
The Eagles (3-3) will now prepare for their contest against Myrtle Beach (Myrtle Beach, SC). The Seahawks enter the non-league contest with a 6-4 record. In their last contest, Myrtle Beach was nudged by Lone Peak (Highland, UT), 86-48, in a non-league contest.
