Homer Trojans (Homer, NY) backers were in high spirits Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting East Syracuse-Minoa Spartans (East Syracuse, NY), 67-55 in a league bout.

With the win, Homer upgrades its record to 10-4 on the season. The Trojans travel to Auburn (Auburn, NY) to clash with the Maroons in a Section 3 Freedom bout on Tuesday, January 31. The Maroons go into the bout with a record of 9-5. Auburn lost 83-66 in their recent non-league bout against Bishop Grimes (East Syracuse, NY)

Next up, the Spartans clash with the Jamesville-DeWitt Red Rams (DeWitt, NY) in a Section 3 Freedom bout, on Tuesday, January 31. East Syracuse-Minoa will attempt to upgrade on its 1-13 season record. The Red Rams go into the bout with a 10-2 record after their 78-56 league win over Cortland (Cortland, NY).
