The Ione Cardinals basketball team scored 68 points and held the visiting Sherman Huskies to 65 in the Cardinals non-league triumph on Friday.

The Cardinals now sport a 5-5 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Crook County Christian for a non-league contest on Saturday, January 10. Ione will confront a Warriors team coming off a 76-50 non-league win over Griswold (Helix, OR). The Warriors record now stands at 3-2.

The Huskies (1-5) will now prepare for their contest against South Wasco County (Maupin, OR). The Redsides enter the 1A Big Sky - West contest with a 3-4 record. In their last contest, South Wasco County nudged Nixyaawii Community (Pendleton, OR), 86-72, in a non-league contest.
