Georgia High School Softball - Chapel Hill holds off Troup County
September 4, 2018: LaGrange, GA 30241 Chapel Hill Panthers (Douglasville, GA) fans exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Troup County Tigers (LaGrange, GA), 6-4 in a league challenge.
The Panthers now sport a 10-2 record. They take the field next when they host Lithia Springs for a non-league challenge on Wednesday, September 5. Chapel Hill will face a Lions squad coming off a 10-3 non-league win over Mount Vernon Presbyterian (Atlanta, GA). The Lions record now stands at 8-4.
With the loss, Troup County falls to 5-12 on the campaign. The Tigers travel to Sandy Creek (Tyrone, GA) to face the Patriots in a 5-AAAA challenge on Thursday, September 6. The Patriots enter the challenge with a record of 6-8. Sandy Creek won 19-3 in their recent non-league challenge against Lovejoy (Lovejoy, GA)
