Spectators at Tuesday's league battle between the Mattamuskeet Lakers (Swan Quarter, NC) and the host Creswell Tigers (Creswell, NC), saw Mattamuskeet's baseball squad beat Creswell by a margin of 20-12.

Coming up next, the Lakers play the Manteo Redskins (Manteo, NC) in a Coastal Ten 1A battle, on Thursday, March 2. Mattamuskeet will attempt to better on its 1-0 season record. The Redskins enter the battle with a 0-1 record after their 13-0 league loss to Perquimans (Hertford, NC).

The Tigers now sport a 0-1 record. They take the field next when they host Camden County for a Coastal Ten 1A battle on Tuesday, March 7. Creswell will play a Bruins squad coming off a 8-2 non-league loss to First Flight (Kill Devil Hills, NC). The Bruins record now stands at 2-1.
