Pennsylvania High School Baseball - Northern Bedford County defeats Chestnut Ridge
April 15, 2011: Loysburg, PA 16659 The crowd at Friday's league match between the Northern Bedford County Panthers (Loysburg, PA) and the visiting Chestnut Ridge Lions (New Paris, PA), witnessed Northern Bedford County's baseball team gain a win over Chestnut Ridge by a score of 12-5.
The Panthers (5-2) will now prepare for their match against Everett (Everett, PA). The Warriors go into the Inter-County - South match with a 2-1 record. In their last match, Everett tipped Tussey Mountain (Saxton, PA), 10-5, in a league match.
The Lions (2-4) will now prepare for their match against Windber (Windber, PA). The Ramblers go into the non-league match with a 2-1 record. In their last match, Windber was overwhelmed by Ferndale (Johnstown, PA), 13-7, in a league match.
Game Summary
The Lions dropped game two to the Black Panthers, but Nik Dumin and Brad Hengst had great days at the plate. Dumin was four for four with a double, and Hengst was three for four with a triple. Brad Winegardner had two hits and two rbi's in his Lion debut.
