Arizona High School Basketball - Desert Edge can't hold off Verrado

The Verrado Vipers basketball team scored 41 points and restricted the visiting Desert Edge Scorpions to 39 in the Vipers non-league victory on Friday.

The Vipers now sport a 11-7 record. They play next when they travel to La Joya Community for a II Section III contest on Tuesday, January 24. Verrado will meet a Fighting Lobos team coming off a 76-46 league loss to Agua Fria (Avondale, AZ). The Fighting Lobos record now stands at 1-15.

Next up, the Scorpions play the Estrella Foothills Wolves (Goodyear, AZ) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, January 24. Desert Edge will attempt to upgrade on its 10-11 season record.
