New Jersey High School Basketball - New Providence fells Governor Livingston
February 27, 2014: New Providence, NJ 07924 New Providence Pioneers (New Providence, NJ) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Governor Livingston Highlanders (Berkeley Heights, NJ), 49-29 in a non-league bout.
With the win, New Providence upgrades its record to 18-7 on the season. The Pioneers travel to Weehawken (Weehawken, NJ) to clash with the Indians in a non-league bout on Monday, March 3. The Indians go into the bout with a record of 16-9. Weehawken lost 72-63 in their recent league bout against Wood-Ridge (Wood-Ridge, NJ)
Next up, the Highlanders clash with the East Side Red Raiders (Newark, NJ) in a non-league bout, on Monday, March 3. Governor Livingston will attempt to upgrade on its 5-13 season record. The Red Raiders go into the bout with a 22-2 record after their 55-37 league loss to Newark Tech (Newark, NJ).
