February 2, 2018: Pinson, AL 35126 The Clay-Chalkville Cougars basketball team (Pinson, AL), was toppled 46-36 in Friday's non-league battle with the visiting Vestavia Hills Rebels (Vestavia Hills, AL)
The Rebels now possess a 21-8 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Tuscaloosa County for a 7A Area 5 battle on Thursday, February 8. Vestavia Hills will confront a Wildcats team coming off a 42-24 non-league win over Holt (Holt, AL). The Wildcats record now stands at 8-15.
The Cougars (14-15) will now prepare for their battle against Center Point (Birmingham, AL). The Eagles come into the 6A Area 12 battle with a 7-22 record. In their last battle, Center Point beat Hewitt-Trussville (Trussville, AL), 64-56, in a non-league battle.
