Elgin Owls (Elgin, OK) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the visiting Clinton Red Tornadoes (Clinton, OK), 34-28 in a league bout.

With the victory, Elgin upgrades its record to 3-2 on the campaign. The Owls travel to Elk City (Elk City, OK) to play the Elks in a Western bout on Saturday, December 11. The Elks come into the bout with a record of 1-3. Elk City lost 58-42 in their recent non-league bout against Burns Flat-Dill City (Burns Flat, OK)

Next up, the Red Tornadoes play the Cache Bulldogs (Cache, OK) in a Western bout, on Tuesday, January 4. Clinton will attempt to upgrade on its 0-1 season record.
