The Mexia Black Cats basketball team (Mexia, TX), was nudged 59-54 in Tuesday's non-league battle with the host Corsicana Tigers (Corsicana, TX)

The Tigers now possess a 16-3 record. They put it on the line next when they host Jacksonville for a 5A Region II District 16 battle on Friday, December 19. Corsicana will battle a Indians team coming off a 75-45 league win over Pollok Central (Pollok, TX). The Indians record now stands at 3-4.
