North Carolina High School Basketball - Cummings overwhelmed by Jordan-Matthews
January 18, 2012: Siler City, NC 27344 The Jordan-Matthews Jets basketball team scored 49 points and restricted the visiting Cummings Cavaliers to 25 in the Jets league win on Wednesday.
With the win, Jordan-Matthews upgrades its record to 16-0 on the season. The Jets host Bartlett Yancey (Yanceyville, NC) to play the Buccaneers in a 2A Mid-State bout on Friday, January 20. The Buccaneers go into the bout with a record of 0-16. Bartlett Yancey lost 54-23 in their recent league bout against Graham (Graham, NC)
Next up, the Cavaliers play the Eastern Randolph Wildcats (Ramseur, NC) in a 2A Mid-State bout, on Friday, January 20. Cummings will attempt to upgrade on its 4-6 season record. The Wildcats go into the bout with a 4-10 record after their 63-29 non-league loss to Ledford (Thomasville, NC).
