Florida High School Basketball - Curie nips Montverde Academy
January 20, 2014: Montverde, FL 34756 Fans at Monday's non-league challenge between the Curie Condors (Chicago, IL) and the host Montverde Academy Eagles (Montverde, FL), saw Curie's basketball squad hold off Montverde Academy by a count of 73-69.
With the victory, Curie upgrades its record to 16-1 on the campaign. The Condors travel to Hyde Park (Chicago, IL) to play the Thunderbirds in a Chicago Public Red - Central challenge on Tuesday, January 21. The Thunderbirds come into the challenge with a record of 11-6. Hyde Park won 57-46 in their recent non-league challenge against Providence-St. Mel (Chicago, IL)
Next up, the Eagles play the Evans Trojans (Orlando, FL) in a non-league challenge, on Saturday, January 25. Montverde Academy will attempt to upgrade on its 18-1 season record.
