North Carolina High School Volleyball - Mallard Creek over Hickory Ridge

In Wednesday's non-league contest, the Mallard Creek Mavericks (Charlotte, NC) volleyball squad knocked off the host Hickory Ridge Ragin' Bulls (Harrisburg, NC), by a margin of 3-1.

Next up, the Mavericks battle the West Charlotte Lions (Charlotte, NC) in a 4A I-Meck contest, on Thursday, September 27. Mallard Creek will attempt to better on its 14-4 season record. The Lions come into the contest with a 2-11 record after their 3-0 league loss to North Mecklenburg (Huntersville, NC).

With the loss, Hickory Ridge drops to 11-3 on the campaign. The Ragin' bulls host Rocky River (Mint Hill, NC) to battle the Ravens in a 4A Southwestern contest on Thursday, September 27. The Ravens come into the contest with a record of 1-12. Rocky River lost 3-0 in their recent league contest against Myers Park (Charlotte, NC)
