Tennessee High School Basketball - Overton prevails Carver
November 21, 2011: Memphis, TN 38117 Overton Wolverines (Memphis, TN) backers were in high spirits Monday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Carver Cobras (Memphis, TN), 98-82 in a non-league bout.
With the win, Overton upgrades its record to 1-0 on the season. The Wolverines travel to Haywood (Brownsville, TN) to play the Tomcats in a non-league bout on Saturday, November 26. The Tomcats go into the bout with a record of 1-1.
Next up, the Cobras play the Pearl-Cohn Firebirds (Nashville, TN) in a non-league bout, on Wednesday, November 23. Carver will attempt to upgrade on its 0-1 season record. The Firebirds go into the bout with a 1-1 record after their 82-52 non-league loss to Whitehaven (Memphis, TN).
