Minnesota High School Basketball - Mayer Lutheran fells Zumbrota-Mazeppa
December 30, 2010: Mayer, MN 55360 Mayer Lutheran Crusaders (Mayer, MN) backers were pleased Thursday as they saw their basketball squad overcome the visiting Zumbrota-Mazeppa Cougars (Zumbrota, MN), 65-52 in a non-league bout.
With the victory, Mayer Lutheran upgrades its record to 7-1 on the campaign. The Crusaders host Jordan (Jordan, MN) to play the Hubmen/Jaguars in a Minnesota River bout on Friday, January 7. The Hubmen/Jaguars come into the bout with a record of 5-3. Jordan won 59-26 in their recent non-league bout against Gibbon-Fairfax-Winthrop (Winthrop, MN)
Next up, the Cougars play the Lake City Tigers (Lake City, MN) in a Hiawatha Valley - Blue bout, on Tuesday, January 4. Zumbrota-Mazeppa will attempt to upgrade on its 1-7 season record. The Tigers come into the bout with a 1-7 record after their 76-40 league loss to Kasson-Mantorville (Kasson, MN).
