Game Summary
The Bears JV got a less than impressive win against a scrappy, and hard working Thompson Valley JV team 2-1. it took 2 OT periods before the Bears got their win. But in the 2nd minute of the 2nd OT Douglas Zarkovachi made a couple of nice moves to get himself into the 18 where he slotted a nice ball to Henry York who ended the game with the golden goal. Prior to that, the Bears offense pelted the keepers of Thompson Valley with 35 shots... Only to get 1 goal. And that was in the 6th minute of the first half. The Bears defense did a very good job of handling the pressure brought by TV's JV & the wind, and the 1rst half ended with the Bears in good control of the game. 2nd half had the Bears again pressing hard on the door of TV again. But again failed to have the composure needed to finish. A few mis-que's in the back gave TV just a couple of chances and they did not miss on their best chance to score and the game ended tied 1-1 in regulation... Next UP Vista Ridge JV. Tuesday @ Vista.
