Archbishop Mitty Monarchs (San Jose, CA) fans exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they observed their baseball squad hold off the visiting Sacred Heart Cathedral Fightin' Irish (San Francisco, CA), 3-2 in a league test.

With the win, Archbishop Mitty upgrades its record to 16-10 on the season. The Monarchs travel to St. Ignatius (San Francisco, CA) to battle the Wildcats in a West Catholic test on Friday, May 3. The Wildcats come into the test with a record of 15-11. St. Ignatius lost 1-0 in their recent league test against Valley Christian (San Jose, CA)

With the defeat, Sacred Heart Cathedral falls to 12-13 on the season. The Fightin' irish host Serra (San Mateo, CA) to play the Padres in a West Catholic battle on Friday, May 3. The Padres enter the battle with a record of 21-5. Serra won 9-4 in their recent league battle against Archbishop Riordan (San Francisco, CA)
