In Friday's non-league match, the host New Deal Lions football squad scored a close 7-0 victory over the Trinity Christian Lions.

In their next game, the Lions clash with the Olton Mustangs (Olton, TX) in a 2A-1 Region I District 2 match, on Friday, October 12. New Deal will attempt to move on its 5-0 season record. The Mustangs enter the match with a 4-2 record after their 44-0 non-league win over Lockney (Lockney, TX).
