Abington Galloping Ghosts (Abington, PA) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Pennsbury Falcons (Fairless Hills, PA), 62-49 in a league bout.

With the win, Abington upgrades its record to 14-5 on the season. The Galloping Ghosts host Council Rock South (Holland, PA) to encounter the Golden Hawks in a Suburban One - National bout on Tuesday, January 31. The Golden Hawks go into the bout with a record of 5-12. Council Rock South lost 51-38 in their recent league bout against Neshaminy (Langhorne, PA)

Next up, the Falcons encounter the Council Rock North Indians (Newtown, PA) in a Suburban One - National bout, on Tuesday, January 31. Pennsbury will attempt to upgrade on its 11-6 season record. The Indians go into the bout with a 14-3 record after their 75-49 non-league win over Allentown Central Catholic (Allentown, PA).
