North Carolina High School Volleyball - Wilkes Central tips West Wilkes

In Tuesday's league contest, the Wilkes Central Eagles (Wilkesboro, NC) volleyball squad edged the visiting West Wilkes Blackhawks (Millers Creek, NC), by a margin of 3-2.

Next up, the Eagles battle the Ashe County Huskies (West Jefferson, NC) in a 2A Mountain Valley contest, on Thursday, October 2. Wilkes Central will attempt to better on its 3-15 season record. The Huskies come into the contest with a 1-14 record after their 3-0 league loss to Starmount (Boonville, NC).

With the loss, West Wilkes drops to 3-11 on the campaign. The Blackhawks host East Wilkes (Ronda, NC) to battle the Cardinals in a 2A Mountain Valley contest on Thursday, October 2.
