The Wheeling Central Catholic Maroon Knights basketball team scored 96 points and held the visiting Parkersburg Catholic Crusaders to 80 in the Maroon Knights non-league triumph on Friday.

The Maroon Knights now sport a 18-1 record. They put it on the line next when they host Charleston Catholic for a non-league contest on Saturday, February 3. Wheeling Central Catholic will meet a Irish team coming off a 83-76 non-league loss to Notre Dame (Clarksburg, WV). The Irish record now stands at 7-5.

The Crusaders (13-8) will now prepare for their contest against Tyler (Sistersville, WV). The Knights enter the non-league contest with a 13-7 record. In their last contest, Tyler was outscored by Ravenswood (Ravenswood, WV), 75-63, in a league contest.
