In Wednesday's non-league match, the host Asheboro Blue Comets basketball team scored a good 65-50 triumph over the Union Pines Vikings.

In their next game, the Blue Comets confront the Chapel Hill Tigers (Chapel Hill, NC) in a non-league match, on Friday, February 24. Asheboro will attempt to better on its 21-6 season record.
