In Saturday's non-league bout, the Douglas Tigers (Minden, NV) basketball squad overcame the visiting Churchill County Greenwave (Fallon, NV), by a count of 49-41.

With the victory, Douglas upgrades its record to 6-5 on the campaign. The Tigers host Reno (Reno, NV) to play the Huskies in a non-league bout on Tuesday, January 7. The Huskies come into the bout with a record of 7-5. Reno won 66-22 in their recent non-league bout against Truckee (Truckee, CA)

Next up, the Greenwave play the Fernley Vaqueros (Fernley, NV) in a IA Northern bout, on Tuesday, January 7. Churchill County will attempt to upgrade on its 3-5 season record. The Vaqueros come into the bout with a 6-4 record after their 43-42 league win over Sparks (Sparks, NV).
