Illinois High School Basketball - Thornton Fractional North tops Salem
January 17, 2019: Salem, IL 62881 Fans at Thursday's non-league challenge between the Thornton Fractional North Meteors (Calumet City, IL) and the host Salem Wildcats (Salem, IL), saw Thornton Fractional North's basketball squad knock off Salem by a count of 52-43.
With the victory, Thornton Fractional North upgrades its record to 9-5 on the campaign. The Meteors host Yorkville Christian (Yorkville, IL) to play the Mustangs in a non-league challenge on Tuesday, January 29. The Mustangs come into the challenge with a record of 12-9.
Next up, the Wildcats play the Centralia Orphans (Centralia, IL) in a non-league challenge, on Saturday, January 19. Salem will attempt to upgrade on its 10-9 season record. The Orphans come into the challenge with a 7-8 record after their 60-52 league win over Cahokia (Cahokia, IL).
