Spectators at Tuesday's non-league match between the Avenal Buccaneers (Avenal, CA) and the visiting Shandon Outlaws (Shandon, CA), witnessed Avenal's softball squad prevail over Shandon by a count of 19-8.

The Buccaneers now sport a 3-1 record. They play next when they travel to Laton for a non-league match on Saturday, March 21. Avenal will face a Mustangs squad coming off a 14-0 league win over Kings Christian (Lemoore, CA). The Mustangs record now stands at 3-6.

With the loss, Shandon moves to 1-1 on the season. The Outlaws travel to Cuyama Valley (New Cuyama, CA) to face the Bears in a Coast Valley match on Thursday, March 19.
